Cinnamon Ginger Apple Crisps

It's apple season! And I am enjoying every crisp and delectable bite. From homemade gala applesauce to granny smith apples and goat cheese, apples are one of my favorite things about Autumn. This recipe is a quick and easy recipe that has that wonderful cinnamon taste with a kick from the ginger. I experimented with both Fuji and Granny Smith and enjoyed both. But hands down, my favorites are the Granny Smith. I love the tart taste with the spices. HOpe you enjoy this crisp treat that satisfies that need for the crunch factor!

Cinnamon Ginger Apple Crisps

2 organic apples of your choice (I used Fuji and Granny Smith)

1 T. Ground Cinnamon

1 t. Ground Ginger

Set oven to preheat at 300 degrees. Wash and dry apples. Slice with mandoline on 1/8" setting. Place on a parchment lined sheet pan. Mix cinnamon and ginger in a shaker. Sprnkle sliced apples and place in oven for 1 hour. Remove from oven and flip over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and ginger mixture and place in oven for another hour and 15 minutes. Check to see if crisp and remove from oven (may take another 15 minutes but keep close watch so they don't burn). Let cool. Enjoy immediately. Any leftovers (if there are any!) can be kept in a airtight container for a few days.
