This is off my normal recipe routine, but it does use kitchen ingredients!
The last couple of weeks have been about family, fun, food and indulgence! I would not take back any of my choices - I have been in the moment, enjoying every morsel and ounce. I have eaten so many decadent foods, imbibed in wonderful drinks, and to tell you the truth, have been off my normal eating routine. The one thing I did do was keep hydrated, drinking half my weight in ounces and extra for any diuretic drinks.
Even with this normal routine, my skin has suffered a bit and is really dry. The extra sugar in the even healthier paleo treats is not part of my day to day lifestyle. I decided to trade in self indulgence for self care and use up the rest of the organic sugar. So I made some sugar scrub! I have made salt scrub from in the past and this worked best with my skin. It is combined with coconut oil and essential oils of your choice and can be used on body and face depending on your skin type. I used frankincense and lavender oils as frankincense is great for blemishes/wrinkles and lavender is calming. Plus I love those two combined! It works great for my oldest duaghter and me, but is a little harsh for the younger one's skin.
It's so easy to make in just two steps, pour, mix and package! Ok, three steps. ;) This made enough to fill 4-5 small jars so 1./2 the recipe if you want less. Enjoy!
