It's been a while since I've been on here to blog. Recipes have been sitting in the back of my mind for months, and I've been writing them down to share. But as we all know, sometimes life gets in the way. Ha!
I thought I would share recipe for hydration since we're coming up on some hot temperatures in the next few months. And I don't know about you, but my hydration has not been as good as I (and my body) would like. Spring in the Midwest was a bit chilly, rainy and cold. and I drifted towards hot liquids, okay coffee, to warm up and noticed that my skin was dry, I was a bit achy and I would have a slight headache some days. All classic signs of dehydration.
I started adding a bit more water in, along with some electrolytes and minerals, but as the weather got warmer, I wanted flavored sparkling water, but knew I needed still spring water. So I compromised with an infused water and this one was a favorite! The berries add a slight sweetness, the lime a fresh kick, and the basil some depth. I could drink this all day. Hope you enjoy!
NOTE: I choose organic as berries have a ton of pesticides. Always wash your produce first!
